On May 8, 2014, 2313329 Ontario Inc. o/a Costa Blanca (“Costa Blanca” or the “Company“) filed an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to Section 49 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (“BIA”).GlassRatner Inc. (“B. Riley Farber”) was appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy (“Trustee“) of the Company.
Status Updates
On May 8, 2014, the Trustee brought a motion for an order authorizing the Trustee, prior to the first meeting of creditors and appointment of inspectors, to enter into an agency agreement with Merchant Retail Solution ULC to commence a liquidation sale of the property, assets and undertakings located at the Costa Blanca stores.
The Trustee in Bankruptcy obtained its Discharge pursuant to a Court Order dated May 18, 2016.
