By Order of Justice Pollak dated March 31, 2023, GlassRatner Inc. (“GlassRatner“) was appointed as an investigative receiver (the “Receiver“) pursuant to section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.43, as amended and Rule 41 of the Rules of Civil Procedure, without security, of certain assets, undertakings and properties of 1140398 Ontario Ltd., SMP Specialty Metal Products Inc., BNP Advisors Inc., and 1570859 Ontario Ltd. (the “Corporations“) acquired for, or used in relation to business carried on by the Corporations.
The Receiver’s mandate is to investigate the affairs of the Corporations and report its findings to the Court and is not taking possession of nor operating the businesses of the Corporations.
