1000162497 Ontario Inc. et al. (9 & 19 Cedar Avenue)

On April 11, 2024, GlassRatner Inc. (“GlassRatner”) was appointed as Receiver (in such capacities, the “Receiver”) pursuant to section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.43, as amended, of the current and future assets, undertakings and properties of 1000162497 Ontario Inc. and Maplequest Uptown Developments Inc. (the “Companies”) acquired for, or used in relation to a business carried on by the Companies, including the land and premises located at 19 Cedar Ave. and 9 Cedar Ave., Markham, Ontario pursuant to an Order (the “Appointment Order”) of the Honourable Justice Steele of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (the “Court”).

Pursuant to the Order of the Honourable Justice Penny dated October 21, 2024, the Receiver was authorized to file an assignment in bankruptcy on behalf of the Companies. Maplequest’s assignment was filed on July 17 , 2025, and the undersigned, B. Riley Farber Inc., was appointed as Trustee of the Estate of the Bankrupt (the “Trustee”) by the Official Receiver, subject to affirmation by the creditors of the Trustee’s appointment or substitution of another Trustee by the creditors.
